Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal FOTCO Terminal respectively on Thursday last.

Meanwhile one more ship carrying Ehtylene also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 35% at the port on Friday where a total four ships namely Dubai Express, Bix Contact, Beacon-SW and MT Akaki are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 103451 tonnes comprising 83732 tonnes imports and 19719 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1819 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
