EU wheat extends fall in wake of Chicago, euro rise

PARIS: Euronext milling wheat futures extended their losses in afternoon trade on Thursday in the wake of an early fall on US grain markets and pressured by the continued rise of the euro against the dollar, traders said.

New crop November milling wheat on Euronext was 6.50 euros, or 3 percent, lower at 213.50 euros a tonne by 1448 GMT.

US grain futures on the Chicago Board of Trade opened sharply lower with wheat mainly pressured by an improved weather view for the US Plains.
