KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo on Tuesday.
Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers, iron ore and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 85pc at the port on Wednesday where a total nine ships namely Nysted Maersk, Maersk Kolkata, Hanjin Irene, M.V Faith, M.T Sofia, Pearl's of Jebel Ali, M.T Karachi, Theresa Libra and Wan Zhou Xian are currently occupying berth to load/offload containers, cement, iron ore, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 127506 tonnes comprising 91920 tonnes imports and 35586 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2694 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
