ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) comprising 14 Pakistani companies from paper and paperboard sector is currently visiting the UK to explore business opportunities there.
The delegation led by Khamis Saeed Butt, Executive Committee Member LCCI and proprietor of M/s Khamis Paper Cutting Centre, called on Pakistan High Commissioner for UK Wajid Shamsul Hasan and discussed business promotion between UK and Pakistan.
According to a message received here Thursday from London, it was noted that there was a scope for importing raw material/paper from UK and exporting it back as a finished product.
The High Commissioner appreciated the initiative of the paper companies for their visit to the UK and highlighted that such business visits are very important in terms of identifying business opportunities in the UK. The mission organized their visit to Limehouse Board Mills.
The UK-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UKPCCI) hosted a business dinner for the delegation provided a good opportunity to the visiting businessmen for networking with the UKPCCI members and office holders.
The members of the delegation include, Khamis Saeed Butt,Mian Amjad Hussain,Mohammad Bashir, Qayyuum Raza,Muhammad Imran Ajmal, Syed Zahid Bukhari, Faisal Aftab, Rizwan Ahmed, Saqib Ali,Waheed Ahmad Sheikh,Malik Ahad Amin, Mohammad Zubair Rana,Zahid Maqsood Butt and Muhammad Hashim.
