SMFFAISALABAD: Neelophar Hafeez Joint Secretary Ministry of Industries said the ministry was ready to help industries of Faisalabad for dragging it out of energy crisis by resorting to alternative energy resources, besides providing technical assistance and industrial productivity trainings with special focus on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

 

Addressing a meeting at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) here on Monday, she commended the Faisalabad's entrepreneurs for successfully running of large, small and medium industries due to which Faisalabad has developed high to one of the largest industrial and economic hub in the country.

 

She said the Ministry had already set up National Productivity Organization (NPO) regional office at FCCI which was providing productivity related industrial trainings and consultancy to the industries in Faisalabad.

 

She offered to facilitate technical trainings with Pakistan Industrial Training Assistance Centre (PITAC) along with expert advice for energy audit desired by the industries.

 

She invited members of FCCI to forward their suggestions for incorporating in new Industrial Policy and suggesting methodologies for industrial promotion in the country. Ministry of Industry would however, approach to the related Ministries for resolving the energy crisis and other problems being faced by the industries, she added.  Earlier, Chaudhary Muhammad Boota Vice President FCCI demanded the government should take immediate measures to solve this issue on war-footing basis.

 

Later, FCCI memento was also presented to Neelophar Hafeez.
