pak us 555 400ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office on Tuesday called US Charge d'Affairs Ambassador Richard Hoagland to convey Pakistan's serious concern on drone strikes.

According to a Foreign Office spokesman said Richard Hoagland was told that the drone strikes were unlawful, against international law and a violation of Pakistan's sovereignty.

The Parliament had emphatically stated that the drone attacks were unacceptable as they were violation of clear red-line for Pakistan, the spokesman added.

The said a separate demarche was lodged with Ambassador Hoagland on the seizure of unauthorized weapons that were in possession of US diplomats in Peshawar.

He was informed that the carrying of unauthorized weapons by diplomats was un-acceptable and contrary to both Pakistani law and accepted norms of diplomatic conduct, said the spokesman.
