The Pakistan Super League announced the coming of its much-awaited sixth side, as team Multan entered the coveted T20 tournament.

“BREAKING: #HBLPSL congratulates Schon Group on meeting the reserve price of $5.2 m per year for the 6th team #Multan #AbKhel6Ka,” announced Pakistan Super League on social media.

The $5.2 million reserve price made Multan the most expensive team of the PSL tournament, ahead of Karachi Kings, which was the previous most expensive team of the tournament with $2.6 million.

The first two edition of the PSL saw five teams i.e. Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi competing with each other for the winner’s trophies.

Islamabad United, won the first edition, under the captaincy of Misbah ul Haq, while the PSL2 final was grabbed by Peshawar Zalmi under Darren Sammy’s captaincy.
