imageRamadan is a time to practice self-restraint, a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one’s self on the worship of God.

The Holy month is a great time to get involved with local Bahraini traditions and broaden your understanding of Islamic culture. Many hotels host nightly Iftar and Suhoor banquets, attend at least one during this Islamic festival. Try the local dishes such as Harees, stuffed dates and Laban.

In Manama, Seef Mall announced its Ramadan activities calendar which will be held across all its branches in Seef District, Muharraq and Isa Town, according to the Dt News Bahrain. The activities involve clay arts, traditional storytelling, painting, in addition to hair braiding and henna.

The activities start from 8pm and continue until midnight. Also as part of the celebrations, Seef Mall, Seef District is hosting kiosks, next to the Gulf Air offices, displaying goods produced by the productive families.

“During the Holy Month of Ramadan, members of the family come together and socialize more often. It is also a great opportunity to promote the spirit of giving back. In celebration of this month, we have organized a range of activities suitable for all ages that aims to promote family links and promote the rich culture,” said Chief Executive Officer of Seef Properties, Ahmed Yusuf.

“In addition to that, we have launched a drive by placing ‘piggy banks’ across the mall to collect donations for the Royal Charity Organization in order to provide health care services for widows and orphans,” he added.
