MILAN: Italian luxury house Prada on Monday reported more than doubling net profits for 2010 thanks in large part to soaring sales in Asia, where it plans to list its stock.
Net profit jumped some 150 percent to 250.8 million euros ($353 million), while operating profit rose 84.7 percent to 535.9 million euros.
The company announced last month that its revenues climbed 31.1 percent last year to 2.0 billion euros, and in particular soared 63 percent in Asia to 646 million euros.
Prada announced in January it will make its first public listing on the Hong Kong bourse, a sign of Asia's growing appetite for designer goods.
