imageCatches win matches is not just a popular catchphrase, but a cricketing basic and a major deciding factor that Pakistani players unfortunately ranks poorly.

At the end of the second day Pakistan batting woes continued against New Zeland as they were left in tatters after they managed to score 76 for the loss of 5 wickets.

However, adding to the wounds was the poor fielding display by Pakistanis, early in the day first-slipper Sami Aslam dropped yet another catch leaving Amir frustrated, and providing another lifeline to Raval who went on to score his second Test half-century.

Later Sami Aslam himself edged one to slip and perished, after he was ironically grabbed by Jeet Raval.

Pakistans dismal fielding was slammed by the Rawalpindi Express, Shoaib Akhtar who opined that Pakistan fielding would be the deciding factor of the Test match, which at the moment was unsatisfactory.

I am convinced that the outcome of Pak-NZ series will depend a lot on how Pakistan catches. At d moment too many chances being floored, said Shoaib Akhtar, on Twitter.

Akhtar further added that the team is used to low lying catches and are ill-equipped to hold catches that come above knee or waist level.
