NALCO hikes India Aluminium prices

BHUBANESHWAR: Indian state-run metal producer National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) has raised aluminium prices by 5,000 rupees ($112) per tonne in the domestic market, a senior company official said on Sunday.

"The prices revision on the LME (London Metal Exchange)," a senior company official who did not wish to be named identified due to company policy, told Reuters.

He said the basic price of standard aluminium ingots had been increased to 145,200 rupees a tonne and that of standard aluminium sow ingots to 145,150 rupees per tonne.

The new prices for all aluminium products were effective from Saturday, he said.
