TOKYO: Sumitomo Metal Mining Co said on Friday it plans to produce 155,000 tonnes of copper in the first half of fiscal year 2011/12, compared with 202,000 tonnes in the previous six months.
Japan's fiscal year began on Friday and the first half ends on Sept. 30.
Sumitomo Metal Mining also said it planned to produce 199,000 tonnes of copper in the second half of the fiscal year.
