PAKPATTAN: As many as 423,000 metric tons of wheat will be procured in Sahiwal division, said Commissioner Qazi Muhammad Ashfaq.
He said that 92,000 metric tons of wheat would be procured in district Pakpattan, 171,000 metric tons in district Sahiwal and 160,000 metric tons wheat in district Okara.
He said that Food department would purchase wheat in five tehsils of the division while PASSCO will procure in two tehsils Okara and Pakpattan.
He said wheat procurement campaign would begin from April 17 while distribution of gunny bags (Bardana) among farmers will start from April 15.
