LAHORE: All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Thursday announced to open all CNG stations during gas load shedding across the country.
In a press statement, APCNGA chairman Ghiyas Abdullah Piracha said that the decision to this effect was taken after the failure of talks held between the Association and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) officers.
"There was no dearth of natural gas in the country, therefore, resorting to gas load shedding by the SNGPL to CNG stations was unjustified," he said.
CNG is a cheaper source of fuel for vehicles he said and added that about 3 million vehicles in the country were running on CNG. The people who made investment in CNG stations were also facing crisis due to load shedding of gas which was lamentable, he added.
Piracha warned that strike for indefinite period would be observed, if any SNGPL official used any tactics against CNG stations.
