KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, established telephonic contact with Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, Interior Minister, Rehman Malik, and Deputy Convener of the Rabita Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr. Farooq Sattar, and discussed the situation in Karachi.

A CM House statement here on Saturday night said that the Chief Minister made it clear that those responsible for harming peace in Karachi would not be spared.

He further stated that strict measures would be taken for the maintenance of law and order in the metropolis.

The statement said that the Chief Minister has received details regarding today's meeting of the Ministers' Committee of the PPP and the MQM.

Steps would be initiated soon in the light of the same, it was further stated.
