Moonis hands himself over to FIA

LAHORE: Moonis Elahi, an MPA and son of former Punjab Chief Minister and Muslim League-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Thursday handed himself over to the FIA after the rejection of his pre-arrest bail.

The bail petition was turned down by the Division Bench of the Lahore High Court headed by Chief Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry after hearing the detailed arguments from either side.

The FIA will start the investigation to recover Rs320 million from Moonis Elahi after obtaining his physical remand from the trial court.

Talking to the media after the bail rejection, Moonis said that he would contest the cases registered against him.
