PTCL introduces PCPM to facilitate customers

 ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) on Thursday introduced public cash/card payment machines (PCPM), bill payment points for the convenience of its customers. PTCL Bill Payments Points in the first phase are being installed in Karachi Lahore and Islamabad. They provide the customers the facility to pay at their convenience at any time of the day as these points will be operational 24 hours.

The Bill Payment Points accept partial and advance payments with automatic and immediate restoration of suspended connections on payments as the customers account will be updated online, said a press release issued here today.  The bills Payments Points have operated functions similar to ATMs and are operated through a touch screen interface.

With the introduction of PTCL Bill Payment Points, customers will be saved from the hassle of standing in long queues to pay their PTCL bills. They can make the bill payment at the nearest PTCL Bill Payment Point, get an automated receipt and also receive an SMS confirming the payments within few minutes of the transaction.

These points accept currency notes from Rs.5, 000 to Rs.20 with easy handling feature along with the option of English or Urdu as the medium of instructions. PTCL pilot project includes the installation of these points initially at Metro Islamabad, Ali Tower Lahore, OSS Clifton, Karachi, OSS CTH Lahore and Revenue Office Islamabad. This service will be expanded and the Payment Points will be available across country at various public places including Shopping Centres, Banks and Airports to facilitate PTCL customers for fast and convenient way of paying their bills.

President & CEO PTCL Walid Irshaid while inaugurating the PTCL Bill Payment machine stated that this launch portrays not only PTCL effective relationship building with its valued customers but also establishes it as a futuristic entity which is working constantly towards inventing paramount solutions for its customers. He highlighted the basic features of the machines and said these points bring great facility to PTCL customers as they will not be required to wait in long queues to pay their PTCL bills. "At PTCL we are constantly aiming to improve the customer experience and the introduction of PTCL Bill Payment Points is another step in that direction".
