traffic jam 400RAWALPINDI: City Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Ishtiaq Hussain Shah has directed the Traffic wardens deployed in Murree to work hard for facilitating tourists.

He also urged tourists to observe traffic rules properly for resolving traffic issues and avoid traffic jams on roads of Murree.

Istiaq Shah said number of Traffic wardens have been enhanced at Murree and City Traffic Police (CTP) is implementing a special summer traffic plan devised for the tourist resort. He said Murree is most attractive resort for the tourists and all out efforts are being made to resolve the traffic problems.

He said a comprehensive plan was devised by CTP for Murree for the summer season according to which entry of heavy vehicles in the city has been banned.

Shah further informed that all possible facilities are being provided to the tourists, adding that traffic wardens under the supervision of inspectors have been deployed at all important points of the city.

The CTO said several points have also been reserved for car parking.

Different main roads will be closed for two way traffic, he said adding, tourists should cooperate with traffic police so that traffic mess particularly during summer season could be avoided.
