Three killed, two injured in gas cylinder blast

LAHORE: Three persons were killed while two others sustained injuries when a gas cylinder exploded at CNG kit manufacturing factory near Chung Police Training School here on Saturday.

Police said that the workers were busy in their routine work when a gas cylinder exploded due to leakage. The explosion killed three persons on the spot.

The dead were identified as Muhammad Rafiq (27), Shahab Gul (19) and Awais (17).

On receiving information, Rescue 1122 and volunteers of Edhi Foundation reached the spot and rushed injured Abbas Ali and Muhammad Riaz to Jinnah Hospital.

Police have arrested Moeen Khan, manager of the factory while further investigation was underway.
