ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister's advisor and economist Mirza Ikhtiar Baig has said that there is huge potential for bilateral economic cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan.
Talking to PTV, he maintained that Tajikistan is a hub for exporting goods to central Asia without duty.
He said that Tajik businessmen buy Pakistani goods from Turkey by paying one euro per meter extra and now they can directly buy Pakistani goods at low prices from Pakistan.
He said that Tajikistan generates surplus hydel power and it is willing to transmit electricity to Afghanistan in the first phase and later to Pakistan.
