KABUL: US troops will be 'well-positioned' to start a limited withdrawal from Afghanistan in July, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Monday during a press conference in Kabul.
Gates, currently on a two-day visit to Afghanistan, was speaking alongside President Hamid Karzai, whose country's forces are due to take control of security across Afghanistan in 2014, allowing foreign forces to leave.
