Economic & Financial Analyst Ateeq-ur-Rehman has said that until the rooting out of this invisible enemy, COVID 19, the economy and all kinds of supply chains of our country will be complicated. This is a pandemic.
"This is a disaster comparable to the situation that existed at the time of World War II. Therefore we have to prepare for protective lockdowns and we must each contribute and protect ourselves," he said.
He said that at this critical juncture we badly need an economy stimulus plan coupled with relief packages by the government as during lockdowns businesses are incurring heavy losses and are over burdened by liabilities Under the circumstances SMEs and small entrepreneurs needs government's help by financial assistance. They badly need cash injections as quickly as possible to pay for their staff's survival.
