Hafeez Sheikh to chair ECC meeting today

• The proposed amendments to the import policy order will be presented at the meeting for approval.
• The approval of technical grants for projects related to Afghan refugees in this fiscal year's budget is also on the agenda.

Advisor on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh will chair Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) on Wednesday.

As per the 13-points agenda issued for the ECC meeting, the proposed amendments to the import policy order will be presented at the meeting for approval.

Furthermore, the approval of technical grants for projects related to Afghan refugees in this fiscal year's budget is also on the agenda. Subsidy allocated for agricultural tube wells will also be reviewed in Balochistan for the current financial year.

Additionally, the approval of Rs one billion technical grant for Pakistan Tourism Development Endowment Fund is on the agenda.

 A summary of the rise of home remittances from traditional sources is also on the agenda. Meanwhile, the issue of supply of gas and RLNG for export sector will also be reviewed.

Discussion will be held on the issue of Alimiz Group of Pakistan purchase of 54 percent shareholding of ISIS Central Sugar Company Limited Australia during the meeting.
