Women Empowerment is a challenge for Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FWCCI) and in this connection, we must take pro-active steps to make this elected representative trade body financially stable and viable, said Mrs. Qurat-ul-Ain President FWCCI. She was addressing an extra-ordinary general meeting of FWCCI.

She told that this organization was established to provide a collective platform to the women entrepreneurs but we have to make strenuous efforts to make this organization fully functional.

She paid a rich tribute to the Founder President Ms. Rubina Amjad who provided a solid base to run this organization on sound footings. She told that being a new organization; we are still facing financial challenges which are also hampering our efforts to expand our activities at the gross root level.

She told that now we have launched a conscious movement to make it financial viable and in this connection a comprehensive campaign would also be launched from March this year for the hundred percent inclusion of women entrepreneurs who are still working in isolation.

"We would convince them to get the membership of FWCCI and become a mainstream force in the national economy", she told and added that FWCCI will try to add at least 15 new members per day in order to strengthen this organization. "It will also play a pivotal role in making FWCCI financially self-reliant", he remarked.

She also hinted arranging need-based training courses and awareness programs which could not only sensitize women but also generate financial resources. The house deliberated on the existing fee structure of FWCCI and unanimously approved the increase in fee.

The meeting was also addressed by Mrs. Rubina Amjad, founder President, Madam Shama Ahmad Vice President, Uzma Abid, Sumera Ashraf, Naheed Kausar, Hadia Shabbir Chawla and others.
