ISLAMABAD: Senator and renowned lawyer S.M. Zafar has said that there is a dire need for reforms in the existing laws to facilitate investigators to reach out to the facts of the case and no culprit or terrorist can manage to escape punishment.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said the issue of terrorism can be resolved through politics and political parties need to be united on the issue of terrorism.
Senator Zafar said "it is the irony of the fact that when an incident of terrorism occurs, political parties start the blame game. Such blame games give a negative message to the terrorists".
He said terrorism cannot be checked until all segments of the society including politicians, and opinion makers adopt one stance against terrorism. He said politicians should change their approach on the issue of terrorism.
Referring to the Balochistan situation, he said situation in the province is precarious and the government will have to take measures to improve the law and order situation while bypassing some human rights to some extent.
