Chief Secretary (CS) Punjab Azam Suleman Khan has said that there are vast business opportunities in Punjab and work on economic zones in the province will continue under the supervision of industries department.
He was talking to US Consul General in Lahore Catherine Rodrigues who met him at his office in Civil Secretariat here on Thursday. The CS mentioned that the industries department is being used to improve governance and performance of departments, adding that process of digitization has been initiated to ensure transparency in the system.
Promotion of bilateral relations and matters of mutual interests were also discussed during the meeting. Catherine said the US gives great importance to its relations with Pakistan and is willing to bolster the bilateral ties between the two countries. She also assured the chief secretary of providing full support in progress of Punjab. At the end of the meeting, souvenirs were exchanged.
