Ukraine grain exports rise 30.4pc to 36.3mn T so far 2019/20

• Wheat exports rose by 4.3 million tonnes to 15.9 million tonnes, the ministry said in a statement.
• Ukraine also exported 3.85 million tonnes of barley and 16.1 million tonnes of corn

KIEV: Ukraine's grain exports rose 30.4pc to 36.3 million tonnes in the first seven months of the 2019/20 July-June season, the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture said on Friday.

Wheat exports rose by 4.3 million tonnes to 15.9 million tonnes, the ministry said in a statement.

Ukraine also exported 3.85 million tonnes of barley and 16.1 million tonnes of corn, it added.

The country harvested a record 75.1 million tonnes of grain in 2019, compared with 70 million tonnes in 2018.
