Train operation system remains suspended

The train operation system of Pakistan Railways Karachi division remained affected as result of derailment of Rawalpindi bound Sir Syed Express in Khanewal city on Monday.

PR officials said the train was on its way from Karachi to Rawalpindi via Faisalabad, in the meantime, its two bogies derailed near Khanewal station's home signal at around 1:40 PM.

The incident affected the train operation system from Karachi to upcountry as Green line Millat Express and Khyber Mail trains were stopped at different stations. The officials said that teams have been engaged to clear the track.
