PM condoles loss of lives due to earthquake in Turkey

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan offered his condolences over the loss of life and property in the earthquake that left at least 20 people dead in Turkey.

The PM took to his official twitter handle and said that Pakistan stands with the people of Turkey in their difficult time. He also commiserated with the bereaved families. "Pakistan stands by them and is ready to lend any assistance in this hour of need," he tweeted.

On Friday night, earthquake of 6.8 magnitude shook Elazig province, about 550 km east of the capital Ankara. The quake was followed by more than 250 aftershocks. At least 20 people were killed while as many as 1,030 others were injured and are in hospitals in the region.
