Faisalabad is full of successful business entrepreneurs who are not only contributing their productive role for the national economy but are also bringing laurels for the country because of their quality and innovative products, said Rana Sikandar-e-Azam President Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI). He was addressing a function on "Success stories of entrepreneurs" organized by the department of Management Sciences of the Faisalabad campus of NUML.
He said that Faisalabad based entrepreneurs had started their journey from scratch. "They worked in most odd circumstances but successfully raised their own industrial umpires", he said and added that their motto was to make Pakistan prosperous and economically strong and in this struggle they used the weapons of honesty and determination prudently.
"They also played an instrumental role in weeding out unemployment by creating millions of job opportunities for the bursting population", he pointed out.
He said that Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH was also an entrepreneur while Holy Quran clearly speaks that 90% of income is dedicated to the businesses while the contribution of service sector is only 10%. He urged upon the young students, particularly of the management sciences to avail from the experience of our role-model entrepreneurs and add new success stories in the history of Faisalabad.
He said that young students must start their own businesses after completing their studies instead of running after jobs. He also appreciated the organization of this session and said it will certainly inspire and sensitized the young graduates to fully concentrate on becoming successful entrepreneurs instead of becoming job seekers.
Shabbir Chawala former president FCCI said that he had no agricultural background but he entered into this field with new and innovative ideas. "I started tunnel farming which yielded best dividends", he said and further told that young entrepreneurs should also work on innovative products to make a breakthrough in their professional life.
He told that businessmen who failed to switch over to the new ideas lost their profitability or they were forced to phase out gradually. Hence innovation is imperative to remain active, profitable and sustainable in the local markets.
He told that he has devoted his life to produce organic vegetables and in this connection he has installed a water treatment plant to irrigate its farms. He also advised the students to turn their "Passion into Profession" to become a successful entrepreneur.
Muzammil Sultan also narrated his success story and told that he has given a new dimension to his family business. He also responded to the questions asked by students. He also underlined the importance of creditability and said that it is an additional but most precious cause of any successful business in addition to the financial terms. "Hence we should never compromise on our integrity in any case", he added.
He also appreciated the business models presented by the students of NUML.
