Airlift kicks off services in Karachi

Airlift has officially inaugurated its services in the city on Wednesday.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, provincial minister Syed Awais Qadir Shah offered his full support to the venture and highlighted the importance of such private companies in Pakistan. "Companies like Airlift offers hope to the Pakistani population to travel safely whenever and wherever they want to travel," he added.

The event has put an end to the rumours that surfaced a few weeks ago regarding the Sindh government's reservations towards ride hailing companies. This event marks the start of a new era in Karachi, where Airlift plans to revolutionize mass transit with the support of Sindh Government.

Airlift Executive Director Syed Mehr Haider said that Airlift is committed to making the urban commute more systematic by decreasing traffic volume as well as carbon emissions in the congested cities.

He pledged to provide easy, comfortable and economical mobility to the users from one point to another. At the event, Airlift also announced its commitment towards making transit-accessible, especially for those who are abled. The company believes it is their duty as citizens of Pakistan to ensure that differently abled people get equal opportunities to avail of these services, he added.
