TOKYO: Japanese shares were 1.31 percent lower in early trade Monday, after weaker-than-expected US jobs data last week.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 127.36 points to 9,561.09 in the first minutes of trading. The Topix index of all first-section shares lost 1.26 percent, or 10.34 points, to 815.37.
