LONDON: European stocks advanced in opening trade on Monday, with London's FTSE 100 benchmark index of leading shares rising 0.37 percent to 5,789.95 points.
Elsewhere, Frankfurt's DAX 30 gained 0.39 percent to 6,973.99 points and in Paris the CAC 40 added 0.45 percent to 3,439.17 points.
