Portugal offers to swap 2021 bonds for 2026 maturity

LISBON: Portugal's IGCP debt agency will offer to swap bonds maturing in 2021, for 2026, bonds in an exchange on May 22, it said on Tuesday.

It will buy back April 2021, bonds and issue July 2026, bonds in the operation.

Portugal has carried out frequent bond swap offers in the past few years in an effort to lengthen the duration of its debt load.
