London: European stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Monday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.1 percent at 7,354.45 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 dropped 0.1 percent to 12,226.85 points and the Paris CAC 40 dipped 0.2 percent to 5,425.30, compared with the closing levels on Friday.
