HAMBURG: Taiwan's MFIG corn purchasing group has issued an international tender to buy around 65,000 tonnes of corn, European traders said on Tuesday.
The tender closes on Wednesday, April 17.
The corn can be sourced from the United States, Brazil, Argentina or South Africa.
Shipment is sought between June 27 and July 16 if the corn is sourced from the U.S. Gulf, Brazil or Argentina.
The seller would have the freedom to deliver optionally either from the U.S. or Brazil during this shipment period but must declare the origin to be supplied by May 27, traders said.
If sourced from the U.S. Pacific Northwest coast or South Africa, shipment is sought between July 12 and 31.
In its last reported tender on March 13, the MFIG group purchased about 65,000 tonnes of corn expected to be sourced from Argentina.
