CHICAGO: Spot basis bids for soybeans weakened at river terminals in the US Midwest early on Friday as weakness in the export market cut demand from shippers at the US Gulf.
* The soybean basis was mostly unchanged at interior processors and elevators, grain dealers said.
* Corn bids also were mostly flat around the interior but mixed at river locations.
* Farmers were showing little interest in booking new deals for their corn or soybeans, a northern Ohio dealer said.
* Many growers were making final preparations for planting, although cold soil temperatures and wet fields were causing delays around the region.
