HAMBURG: The Korea Feed Association (KFA) has issued an international tender to purchase up to 69,000 tonnes of corn, European traders said on Friday. The tender closes on Friday, April 12.

The tender from the KFA's Busan section sought corn in one consignment of 50,000 to 69,000 tonnes for arrival around Nov. 15.

Shipment is sought between Oct. 12 and Oct. 31, if sourced from the US Pacific Northwest Coast; between Sept. 22 and Oct. 11 if it's from the US Gulf or east Europe; between Sept. 17 and Oct. 6 if sourced from South America or between Sept. 27 and Oct. 16 if from South Africa.

The tender extended the surge in South Korean corn purchases, which have exceeded 800,000 tonnes since early March after prices dropped.
