PESHAWAR: Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Kiramatullah Khan while congratulating the newly elected members of Senate, said that majority of the PPP in the upper house would further strengthen roots of democracy in the country.
In a felicitation message on Saturday, he said that holding senate election in a peaceful manner is a victory of all democratic forces adding that policy of reconciliation would bear long lasting results and further augment existing democratic edifice.
He said that heavy responsibility lied on the new elected members to utilize their abilities for welfare and betterment of the people and expressed the hope that they would perform key role in the development and progress of the country.
