MULTAN: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Friday expressed his resolve to continue support and cooperation with Afghanistan against the menace of terrorism.
In a brief talk with mediamen after his arrival here at local airport, the prime minister, while answering a question about a letter sent by Afghan President Hamid Karzai to him, said that it was a positive move seeking further improvement in the bilateral relationship between the two countries.
The prime minister recalled that the last meeting with the Afghan president was held in a cordial manner and the letter sent by the Afghan president for further improvement in bilateral relations was an outcome of his meetings with him and President Asif Ali Zardari.
When asked about Seraiki province, the PM said that conspiracies were being hatched against the Seraiki province, but his party was committed to the establishment it to safeguard the rights of the people of the area.
Prim Minister Gilani also thanked the people on supporting his son Syed Ali Musa Gilani who recently won election as MNA from NA-148.
