Punjab government files request in Lahore court to hear Davis’ illegal arms case in jail

LAHORE: A Lahore court received a filed request, on Saturday, to hear the illegal arms possession case against US national Raymond Davis in the Kot Lakhpat prison AAJ TV reported on Saturday.

On February 17, Davis was sent to jail on a 14 day judicial remand, by a judicial magistrate, in the case relating to carrying illegal arms. The order was issued through a video conference proceeding arranged at the office of district and sessions judge, by judicial magistrate Muhammad Aneeq Anwar Chaudhry. When, through the video conference, the judge asked Davis whether he knew about his trial. The judge asked if he had anything to say. He replied ‘no’.
