Qaumi Watan Party chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao severely criticized the PTI leadership for fielding only wealthy people and ignoring underprivileged party workers.
"On one hand, the PTI leadership emphasizes upon one Pakistan with equal rights for all the people while on the other, they distributed party tickets only among the wealthy people and the ignored poor party workers," he said, speaking at a public meeting in the area of PK-60 Akhun Zafar Baba Shabqadar Charssada. QWP provincial chairman Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao, party candidate Babar Ali Mohmand and others also spoke.
Aftab Sherpao blamed the PTI leaders for false sloganeering and total disservice to the people. He said
"People have seen real face of PTI leadership. They will turn down them in the upcoming elections through by use of their votes against them," he said.
QWP chief expressed concern over effort to give new life in the dead horse of Kalabagh Dam. He said the controversial issue would create problems for the federation. He cited that three provincial legislatures had already rejected the controversial Kalabagh Dam, adopting resolutions; hence the project was abandoned due to lack national consensus.
"Smaller provinces have serious reservations over the controversial project because it is a matter of life and death for them," he said, adding that Kalabagh Dam was deleterious to stability of the federation because the smaller provinces would not allow it. He said raising this issue would unnecessarily divide the nation and it would put vital issues on the backburner. He said, presently, the country is facing other serious issues and they need to be addressed. He said Pakhtun suffer due to troubles. He said their sense of deprivation was deepened because they were ignored.
