The formulation of gender responsive strategy of National Highways & Motorway Police is illustration of our commitment. DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik said this while speaking during a gender awareness seminar held at Zonal Office, Lahore. The seminar was titled as 'gender equality & sensitization at workplace'. The guest speakers of the seminar were Dr Shazia Qureshi, Principal Punjab University Law College, Zenab Saeed, Senior Manager Kashif Foundation, and Shahneela Farhan, Executive Producer of private news channel.
SSP Motorway Police Kamran Adil and large number of officers were also present on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, DIG Ahmad Arslan Malik said in the gender strategy of NH&MP priorities include improving representations of women in police, developing capacities and competencies, enhancing role, positioning and visibility, cultivating gender sensitive work environment, assimilating gender learning into police training and enriching policing services with equality perspectives. The main objective of the seminar was to sensitize the women police officers as well their male counterparts about awareness of gender equality at workplace, he added.
