Three persons were gunned down and five others injured in a bloody dispute between two groups of Jatoi community in village Ali Hassan Jatoi over petty issue of cattle grazing in agricultural field in the limits of Pir Sher @ Akil police station near here on Saturday. Both groups started indiscriminate firing on each other using sophisticated weapons which continued for two hours but police remained spectators as they arrived three hours late to shift the bodies and wounded to the hospital.
According to details, cattle of one group of Illahi Bux Jatoi entered the land of his rival Ali Gohar Jatoi due to which they started beating the animals, their rivals said while talking to newsmen adding which led to straight firing in which Dhangano Jatoi, Panjal Khan Jatoi and Sahab Khan Jatoi were killed and Usman Jatoi, Ali Dost Jatoi, Nisar Jatoi, Illahi Bux Jatoi and Hajan Jatoi were injured.
Usman Jatoi was shifted to Karachi in precarious condition. Doctors at Chandka Hospital said that condition of Nisar Jatoi was also serious. Other injured were admitted to the hospital. No FIR was lodged till filing this report. SHO Usman Wadho confirmed that incidents took place over the petty issue of cattle grazing due to which two persons of one group and one of another group were killed and five others of both groups have been injured. He said both groups are near relatives.
