The government has released Rs 644.42 billion (64.38 percent) including Rs 155.8 billion foreign aid for different development projects so far under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) 2017-18 against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 1001 billion.
According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform, the government has released Rs 153.7 billion (51 percent of total budgeted amount of federal ministries) for development projects of various federal ministries against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 301.83 billion.
The government has not released funds for development projects of Foreign Affairs Division, National Security Division, Special Provision for Completion of CPEC Project and Gas Infrastructure Development Cess.
The government has released Rs 254 billion including Rs 101.38 billion foreign aid for infrastructure projects of National Highway Authority (NHA) against the budgeted allocation of Rs 324.72 billion. The government has released Rs 19.38 billion for development projects of Pakistan Railway Division against total budgeted allocation of Rs 42.9 billion for current fiscal year 2017-18.
The Planning Commission has released Rs 40.27 billion including Rs 40 billion foreign aid for development projects of Ministry of Water and Power (power sector) against the budgeted allocation of Rs 60.91 billion. An amount of Rs 30.35 billion including Rs 523 million foreign aid has been released for Water and Power Division (water sector) against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 36.75 billion for current fiscal year.
The government has released Rs 11.1 billion including Rs 7.164 billion foreign aid for different projects of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 15.09 billion for fiscal year 2017-18.
An amount of Rs 19.01 billion including Rs 64.202 million foreign aid has been released for different projects of Higher Education Commission (HEC) against the total budgeted allocations of Rs 35.7 billion.
The government has released Rs 2.5 billion to Capital Administration and Development Division, Rs 529.7 million to Climate Change Division, Rs 285 million to Commerce Division, Rs 8.62 billion for Communication Division (other than NHA), Rs 11.88 billion to Interior Division, Rs 286.53 million to Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority and Rs 1.99 billion to Planning, Development and Reform.
Under PSDP 2017-18, an amount of Rs 9.24 billion including Rs 503.4 million foreign aid was released for different development projects of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Division against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 48.7 billion. The government released Rs 1.01 billion for different developmental projects of National Food Security and Research Division against the earmarked Rs 1.62 billion for the development of agriculture sector in the country.
The government has released Rs 53.43 billion for Special Federal Development Program for temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) against Rs 90 billion budgeted allocation and Rs 11.95 billion for development projects of Prime Minister's Youth and Hunarmand Program under current fiscal year 2017-18.
The entire amount of Rs 30 billion has been released for Prime Minister's Global SDGs Achievement Program.
The government released Rs 13.5 billion to Finance Division, Rs 2.84 billion to Aviation Division, Rs 1.45 billion to Port and Shipping Division, Rs 873.95 million to Science and Technological Research Division, Rs 268.597 million for Defense Division, Rs 7.324 million for Housing and Works Division and Rs 1.79 billion for Defense and Production Division.
The government released Rs 22.75 billion including Rs 877.127 million foreign aid for development projects of Azad Jammu and Kashmir against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 25.84 billion for current fiscal year. The government also released Rs 15.4 billion for development projects of Gilgit-Baltistan against Rs 18.3 billion budgeted allocation, while Rs 17 billion have been released for the projects of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) against the total budgeted allocation of Rs 26.9 billion.
