Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Friday claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) would once again give an ignominious defeat to all political parties in the upcoming general election. He was addressing a gathering organized in the honour of Yosuf Islam, alias Babu, member of the district assembly and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) central Naib-Ameer Maulana Fazal Ali at Zarobi, district Swabi, who quit JUI-F and announced to join the PTI in the presence of KP chief minister.
As the JUI-F and PTI are arch-rivals, the Chief Minister specially attended the gathering because they wanted to tell other parties and their leadership that even leaders of the JUI-F have also started joining the PTI as they have gone frustrated from the politics and policies of the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. The Chief Minister spoke in detail about the achievements of the PTI government in its constitutional tenure which would be completed on May 30.
Khattak said that the PTI had initiated and completed recorded development projects in the province and their stand had vindicated when the JUI-F leader and leaders of other various parties have started joining the PTI due to its result-oriented policies.
"The leaders of various political parties have started joining the caravan of PTI Chairman, Imran Khan," he remarked. The Chief Minister said that those PTI law-makers who sold their votes in the senate election had been expelled from the party because there was no place for any leader who violated the party policy.
"Imran Khan never ever allows traitors to remain among the PTI leaders and workers. The expulsion of a few law-makers was a clear cut example," he said. Numerous politicians of a number of political parties would join the PTI soon. Some of them had already made their minds and many more were expected to make decision very shortly," he said.
Khattak said rivals should stop propaganda that they would win the election, dreaming to occupy the Chief Minister saddle. "I could predict right now that dream of many rival leaders would be completely shattered soon after starting of the result on the election night," he said.
