Taimur Khan Jhagra, a local leader of PTI has urged upon the people to renew their pledge of support to the people of Held Jammu and Kashmir in their struggle in right of self-determination. Addressing a public meeting in connections with Pakistan Day, he said from the last seven decades, the people of Jammu & Kashmir have continued their struggle for right of self-determination, which was committed to them by the international community.
He said, since July 2016, the occupied forces had unleashed a reign of atrocities and have killed and injured hundreds of innocent Kashmiris. He said the unprecedented and inhuman use of pellet guns has blinded more than 200 people, including women and children.
The Hurriyat leaders, he said, are continuously harassed on trumped up charges. India refused to allow the visit of the team of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission of the OIC to the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir thus denying the international community an opportunity to evaluate the situation on the ground, he remarked.
He said, "India obviously has much to hide. India is condoning the use of human shields in Indian occupied Kashmir, which finds no parallel in today's world and reflects its practice of using brute force to suppress innocent Kashmiris".
