Chinese envoy Yao Jing met here with the Ex-Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif and hoped that all the projects relating to China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be executed smoothly. During the meeting held on Saturday, he said CPEC has laid strong foundation in carrying out their decades' old socio- economic partnership intended to improve living conditions of the people.
Yao Jing appreciated Nawaz Sharif's support and commitment to promote Sino-Pak friendship and said that two countries have come closer to each other in promoting common aspirations of the people of two countries. Nawaz Sharif thanked the newly appointed ambassador to Pakistan and hoped that his positive role will further contribute to the development of socio economic partnership, particularly in the context of CPEC.
He particularly lauded that partnership of the two countries in the field of counter-terrorism. Nawaz Sharif lauded China's support and appreciation for the measures taken by the Pakistani civil and military leadership in combating terrorism. It is a matter of great satisfaction that China fully acknowledges Pakistan's sacrifices and contribution in this connection, he added.
