Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) Mubarak

Strict security measures have been taken by the district governments to maintain law and order today. The Punjab government, for example has directed all the district and tehsil administration officers to take strict security measures in this regard. In this connection, the main procession of Miladun Nabi (SAW) would start at 9:30 am from Jamia Masjid road and culminate at central Jamia Mosque Rawalpindi.
The Rawalpindi traffic police have chalked out a plan for the occasion under which more than 500 traffic officials are being deployed to regulate traffic on city roads. Ulema and people belonging to all schools of thought have been asked to help the law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order and to foil nefarious designs of miscreants.
The city district government has set up a control room for the surveillance of processions. The control room would work round the clock. Volunteers of bomb disposal squad, Rescue 1122 and ambulance units will remain stand-by to meet any emergency while units of reserve police will also be deployed on sensitive areas.
In Peshawar, functions have been planned and processions will be taken out in all major cities and towns of the country including KP and Fata whereas all routes of processions are being illuminated and decorated with colourful lights and flags in connection with the 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Vendors have established a number of stalls at every nook and corner of Peshawar besides processions routes and offering banners, badges, stickers and flags to people. Mosques, homes, buildings and plazas have been decorated with colourful lights and buntings. Rallies and processions are being planned by different organizations to express devotion to the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
Streets, localities and houses have been decorated to mark the festivities in connection with the Eid Milad. A number of programmes including Naat Khawani have been organized by different organizations to mark the day. Various social, cultural, educational institutions and religious organizations have finalized their programmes for celebrating Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) with religious fervour.-Agencies
