PM inaugurates housing scheme for government employees
KARACHI: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that government employees will be provided affordable housing, according to the media on Thursday.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the government housing scheme in Islamabad, Prime Minister Gilani said, employees of all grades will be provided their own housing.
The scheme has been developed for Grade-20, Grade-21 and Grade-22 government employees.
The Prime Minister said food, shelter and clothing are the basic principles of the PPP government, and added, government employees deserve better living.
He said, "I dedictaed sector I-8 to the government employees housing."
"Construction will provide a boost to the economy," said Gilani.
He said, the credit for solving the issue of the government employees' housing goes to the ministry of housing.
